Schomp MINI’s Woof & Wine Event Was a Doggone Success
The Woof & Wine event on June 10th at Schomp MINI in Highlands Ranch raised almost $103,000 for the Humane Society of the South Platte Valley. That beat the event’s fundraising goal of $85,000 by more than $15,000!
There was a raft of tantalizing live and silent auction items sold. Schomp MINI contributed a complete auto detail and the other offerings ranged from a clairvoyant reading to scuba classes, to personal care and exclusive vacation trips.
Entertainment was provided by The Delta Sonics and tasty bites were provided by Los Dos Potrillos.
The main attraction, of course, was a visit from several of the cutest and cuddliest shelter puppies and dogs.
The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley is the nonprofit animal shelter serving the South Metro area. It has a long history of taking in lost, stray, and abandoned animals. It works to reunite lost pets with their families and attempts to find forever adoptive homes for other animals. The HSSPV philosophy is to provide individualized, compassionate care while promoting “responsible pet ownership by providing pet owners with access to helpful services.”
Animals’ average stay at HSSPV is between 9 – 14 days at a cost of more than $300, so successful fundraising events like Woof & Wine at Schomp MINI are important. We’re so happy we can be a partner in caring for shelter animals with The Humane Society of the South Platte Valley.
