On Saturday, October 1, Schomp MINI and The Love Hope Strength Foundation will present “Red Rocks Rocks” – our annual fundraising event. By registering to participate in day-of and/or fundraising activities, you’re helping us save the lives of individuals in need of critical bone marrow transplants. Love Hope Strength is a non-profit organization which turns concerts into lifesaving events. Through their “Get on the List” campaign, they register marrow donors resulting in matches from concerts around the world. Through unique events such as Red Rocks Rocks, Everest Rocks and Kilimanjaro Rocks, they build cancer centers, giving people access to early detection and quality cancer care.

Your registration fee includes:

• A pre- and post-hike acoustic concert featuring Mike Peters of the Alarm and LHS supporting artists
• Scenic hike and jam starting from the iconic Red Rocks Park and Amphitheatre. Bring your guitar!
• Event T-shirt
• Swag bag
• Catered lunch on the deck outside of the Ship Rock Grille
• Afterparty at The Hard Rock Cafe downtown
• Children 10 and under admitted at no charge

Schomp Automotive’s partnership with The Love Hope Strength Foundation (LHS) spans multiple years (and states!). The group travels the country in their MINI Cooper S Countryman ALL4, attending concerts and events to promote their “Get on the List” campaign. With the help of several artists, many of whose signatures still reside in the organization’s last Countryman ALL4 (displayed in our showroom), they’re saving lives one registrant at a time.

“Getting on the List” is easy, and consists of nothing more than written information and a 30-second cheek swab. According to LHS, the chances of you becoming a potential life-saving match are slim; typically less than five percent. And that’s the reason why it’s so critical to have a high number of registrants and, further, to raise the necessary funds to expand awareness and promotion to as many concerts, events and locales as possible.
