Colorado is very active. From offering year-round activities like hiking and biking to exploring the beautiful mountains, there’s always something adventurous awaiting you, especially during the summer. Every summer, there are hundreds of runs, triathlons and events to take part in. Denver probably offers the most array of 5Ks, ranging from athletic competitions to plain fun events. At this summer’s PrideFest, the Big Gay 5K will take place throughout the city. On June 20, participate in this run that supports the local GLBT community and offers everyone a bit of fun. Prizes will be given out for the best costumes, so come with a colorful and unique look and you just might win! The race will start and end at Civic Center Park in the heart of Denver.

What could be more fun than combining two of Colorado’s best aspects: beer and the beautiful outdoors? On July 11, the Boulder Beer Co Brew Run will start at Boulder Beer Co and will offer activities, games and, of course, a run during this unique 5K. Beer Olympic Games include Keg Haul relay, Beer Balance relay, Corn hole drinking game challenge, CrossFit games squat challenge and Triple jump competition. For $25, participants get run entry, a free Boulder Beer ale and signature pint glass.
